ABOUT
A+E Lab is a new Cultural and Technology Hub in Chatham, Medway, curated by AΦE.
In March 2022, we moved into new premises within the Historic Dockyard Chatham as AΦE became associate artist of Institute of Culture and Creative Industry – University of Kent. We develop and deliver ambitious programme of cultural activities.
OUR VISION
We envision A+E Lab to be
• A space where unique artistic experiences using art and new technologies can be thought through, developed and created.
• A hub for the local community, including those least engaged in the arts, to take part in projects centred around learning new digital skills.
• A platform where artists, researchers and experts in arts and tech meet and develop new ideas together.
• A home to AΦE, giving the company a space to create and develop its innovative productions.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to democratise access to digital tools and skills and provide support and access to inspiring space and equipment to artists and researchers working in the fields of Art and/or Technology. Our aim is to grow A+E Lab as a vibrant cultural hub for the local community, with national and international networks connecting to local projects.
