19 August, 10am - 4pm
Electric Medway Hack presents a practical workshop with Cybersaur Arts, using immersive technology, inspired by bioluminescence in nature.

Did you know bioluminescent creatures emit light and are found throughout marine habitats? Work with projection and visualisation artist Josh Garner and the team from Cybersaur Arts to contribute to a bioluminescence-inspired artwork. The visual spectacular will feature as part of our Nocturnal event, during Electric Medway Festival in Oct 2024.

In this hands-on workshop, develop an understanding of how to use immersive technology in your own creative practice, including: projection mapping, movement sensors, 3D animation and video effects.

Software covered: Touch Designer, Resolume, Projection Mapper (formerly Dynamapper) and Procreate.

No previous experience or equipment is required.

Supported by Arts Council England and co-funded with University of Kent iCCi. This event is part of Medway Culture Fest 24.
