An interactive AR installation for all ages.
Inspired by the Peter and The Wolf, a Prokofiev's classic symphonic tale for children, Peter and the Wolf: A Solarpunk Reimagining (PAW), brings audiences into an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) experience merging motion captured dance in 3D animation, a playful physical set and a score featuring spoken text and music. Audiences are immersed in a physical installation inspired by pop-up books, featuring markers for the AR interactions, acting as a background for AR animations and engage in the story via Spectacle AR devices and/or iPads. The story is set in a bio-integrated city, Solha, in 2087, this contemporary interpretation conveys the tale's core values of courage, friendship, and environmental responsibility, whilst bringing screen-based immersive storytelling to children and young people and neurodivergent audience in accessible ways. This is a work for all ages, bringing childhood memories back to life for those who carry them, and creating new ones for those just beginning.
